Gongura Mutton



Ingredients:
mutton - 1lb
gongura - big bunch (1lb)
green chillies - 6-8 (paste it)
salt - 1 1/2tsp
turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
ginger-garlic paste - 1tsp
coriander powder - 1/2tsp
garam-masala powder - 1/4tsp
onions- 2 (chopped)
oil - 2tbsp
Method:
1) Blanch gongura with 1/2 onion in 1/2 cup boiling water.

2) When water evaporates mash it smoothly. Keep aside.

3) Heat oil in a pressure pan. Add onions, fry till it becomes transparent. Now add ginger-garlic paste, fry for a minute.

4) Add mutton, turmeric, salt, chilli paste, corainder powder. When water evaporates from mutton, add 1cup water. Stir it and cover the lid and put weight valve.

5) After 5-6 whistles, remove from heat. When pan cools remove lid, add gongura, garam masala powder. Stir thoroughly.

Serve with roti or rice.

Tip: Prepare this dish one day before. So that it tastes very good.
You can also prepare this recipe with chicken.
