Ingredients:
goat liver - 1 lb
onion -1, chopped
cilantro - 2tbsp, finely chop
dill - bunch, finely chop
1.mirchi powder - 1/2tsp
2.turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
3.coriander powder - 1/2tsp
4.salt - as per taste or 3/4tsp
5.ginger-garlic paste - 1/2tsp
garam masala powder - 1/4tsp
lemon juice - 1tbsp
Masala paste:
onion - 1, chop
poppy seeds - 2tbsp, fry & cool it
coconut powder - 2tbsp, fry & cool it
First grind poppy seeds into fine powder, then add coconut powder,chopped onion with little water and grind it into a paste.
Method:
1) Wash the liver thoroughly. Cut into small pieces. Heat oil in a wide saute pan. Add onion and fry it till transparent. Add 1-5 ingredients, masala paste to it.
2) After a min. add liver and saute it till the water from liver oozes out.
Add dill, stir it and add 2cups of water.
3) Cover and cook for about 20 min. or till the liver is cooked thoroughly.
4) When the curry becomes thick then lastly add garam masala powder, cilantro and mix it well. Turn off the heat.
5) Add lemon juice, stir well.
Tip: If you want dry liver, cook till it becomes dry, then add lemon juice.
Dry liver goes well with naan,chapathi
Thick liver curry goes well with rice, pulav.
