Broccoli- moongdhal

Ingredients:
broccoli - 1 bunch,break into small pieces
moon dhal (pesarapappu,green lentil) - 1 cup,soak in water for 10 - 20 min.
onion - 1, chopped
green chilis - 3-4, slit and chop into small pieces
ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
salt - 3/2 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
corainder powder - 1/2 tsp
curry leaves - 1 string
cilantro - 2 tbsp, finely chopped
garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
water - 1cup
oil - 1 tbsp

Method:
1) Heat oil in a pan. Add curry leaves, onion, green chillies and saute till onion turns transparent.

2) Now add turmeric powder,
ginger garlic paste, corainder powder and salt, fry for a min.

3) Add broccoli, moong dhal, stir it. Add water and cover the lid.

4) Cook till dhal is well cooked. Add garam masala powder, cilantro, stir it well.
Turn off the heat.

It goes well with chapathi, rice.

Palak Paneer

Ingredients:
spinach (palak) - 1 bunch
onion - 1, grind to a paste
tomato - 1, puree it
red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
fenugreek(methi) powder - 1/4 tsp
paneer cubes - 1/2 lb or put
as much you like
ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder
lime juice - 1 tbsp
garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
olive oil - 1 tbsp
cilantro - 1 tbsp, minced

Method:
1) Wash spinach and cut it. Cook this on high flame without adding water for 2-3 min.

2) Make this into paste.

3) Heat oil in a pan and add cumin powder, methi powder, onion paste to it.
In a min. add ginger garlic paste, turmeric and saute it.

4) After a while add tomato puree, chili powder, salt to it. let it cook for 3-4 min.

5) Now add palak puree, garam masala powder to it, stir and cover the lid.

6) After 2-3 min. add paneer cubes, stir carefully. cook for a min and turn off heat.

7) Sprinkle cilantro, lime juice, and stir it.

It goes well with roti, poori, naan, biryani, pulao.
